ABOUT US
At Ronald Edmonds Learning Center II, our principles are CLEAR.(Community, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect). These, combined with PEACE (Positive Energy and Constant Elevation), create an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected, and diversity is celebrated. Students may graduate with four Regents and up to ten high school credits. Uniform makes everyone feel equal, well groomed, and confident.
Our caring administrators, teachers, and staff ensure the total well-being of every student, each of whom has a mentor and advocate. A Respect for All School and a Showcase School for Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, we value and respect students’ cultural identities and our teachers reflect our students’ ethnicities. We provide opportunities for recreation, social-emotional development, global citizenship, and college and career readiness.
Activities include trips to museums, sports events, Broadway shows, laser tag arenas, United Nations, and colleges; basketball, football, dance, step, chorus, drama, visual arts, photography, film, nutrition, and drumming. Annual events include Dads Take Your Child to School Day, Spirit Week, Field Day, Cultural Awareness Day, Gold Carpet Awards, College Tour, and Broadway Junior.
